About Us
If
you are 13 - 16 years old (boy or girl), you are welcome to come and
join us. We meet Monday and Thursday evenings between 7pm and 9.30pm.
All
our cadets enjoy themselves greatly and the Squadron gets very involved
with many local activities, namely RNLI Funday at Mudeford, Christchurch
Festivals including the annual fireworks, Christchurch Carnival and
the Christchurch Food Festival.
Each
year the Squadron attends at least two camps at RAF Stations. One at
Easter, one summer and sometimes an autumn camp in October.
The
Duke of Edinburgh's Award and BTEC schemes are also available.
When
you reach 16 you can apply for a gliding course where you will be trained
to solo standard.
During
your time with us, you can fly a powered aircraft (Grob Tutor) and a
(Viking/Vigilant) glider. You can fly with us before you can drive a
car or ride a motorbike.
